Create a Mailbox in DirectAdmin

DirectAdmin lets you add professional email addresses for any domain attached to your hosting account. The process takes only a few minutes once you are logged in.

1. Sign in to DirectAdmin

Open your panel in a browser—usually at yourdomain.com:2222 or your server's hostname on port 2222. Enter your DirectAdmin username and password.

2. Open Email Accounts

From the dashboard, go to E-Mail Accounts and select E-Mail Accounts again to view existing mailboxes and add new ones.

3. Create the Mailbox

  1. Click Create Account.

  2. Type the local part of the address—the text before @.

  3. Pick the target domain from the drop-down (often shown in the top-right corner, depending on your layout).

  4. Set a secure password, or use the Password Generator via the icon.

  5. Define a storage quota in megabytes, or tick Max to use your account's full allowance.

  6. Click Create Account to finish.

4. Access Your Mail

You can read and send messages through webmail or any standard email app.

For third-party clients such as Outlook or Thunderbird, use the connection details on our DirectAdmin email settings page.

To open webmail from the panel, return to E-Mail Accounts and click the icon beside the address you created.

You can also visit yourdomain.com/roundcube and sign in with the mailbox credentials.
