DirectAdmin Mail Connection Settings

Use this page to look up the incoming and outgoing server details for any mailbox on your PosaHosting DirectAdmin account. The values update automatically as you type—handy when configuring Outlook, Thunderbird, a phone mail app, or an SMTP plugin inside a CMS.

Prerequisite

You need an active mailbox before these settings apply. If you have not created one yet, follow our guide to create an email address in DirectAdmin first.

1. Enter Your Details

Fill in your server hostname and full email address below. The connection details section will populate with the correct values for your account.

Email Server Hostname: Email:

2. Your Connection Details

IMAP (Incoming)

IMAP Server: s1.posahosting.com
IMAP Username: youremail@yourdomain.com
IMAP Password: The password you set when creating the mailbox.
IMAP Port: 143 (unencrypted) or 993 (SSL/TLS)

POP3 (Incoming)

POP3 Server: s1.posahosting.com
POP3 Username: youremail@yourdomain.com
POP3 Password: The password you set when creating the mailbox.
POP3 Port: 110 (unencrypted) or 995 (SSL/TLS)

SMTP (Outgoing)

SMTP Server: s1.posahosting.com
SMTP Username: youremail@yourdomain.com
SMTP Password: The password you set when creating the mailbox.
SMTP Port: 587 (recommended) or 465
SMTP Security: TLS

PosaHosting tip

Prefer IMAP over POP3 if you read mail on more than one device—it keeps messages synced on the server. Your server hostname is listed in the welcome email for your hosting account and on My Account.

3. Download Settings from DirectAdmin

DirectAdmin can export a ready-made configuration file for Outlook:

Sign in to DirectAdmin.
Go to E-Mail Accounts.
Click the + icon to the right of the mailbox and choose Download Outlook Configuration.

Import the downloaded file into your mail client to avoid typing each setting manually.
