Define a Hosting Package in WHM

Packages are reusable resource templates. Instead of setting disk quotas and feature limits every time you onboard a client, you create a package once and assign it during account provisioning. This is ideal for offering tiered plans—say, a 10 GB starter plan alongside a 50 GB business plan.

1. Sign in to WHM

Access WHM with your PosaHosting reseller credentials.

PosaHosting shortcut

Open the control panel in one click from My Account

2. Open Add a Package

  1. In WHM, go to the Packages section.

  2. Click Add a Package.

3. Configure Package Limits

Set the resource ceilings for this plan:

  • Package Name — A descriptive label (for example, Business 25GB).
  • Disk Quota — Maximum storage in megabytes.
  • Monthly Bandwidth — Data transfer allowance per month.
  • Max FTP Accounts — Number of FTP logins permitted.
  • Max Email Accounts — Mailbox limit.
  • Max SQL Databases — Database limit.
  • Max Subdomains — Subdomain limit.
  • Max Parked Domains — Parked domain limit.
  • Max Addon Domains — Additional hosted domain limit.

Additional options—cPanel theme, feature list, and shell access—are available further down the page. Adjust them to match your offering, then click Add.

4. Assign to Accounts

  1. Navigate to Account Functions > Create a New Account, or edit an existing account.

  2. Select your new package from the Package drop-down.

5. Edit Packages Later (Optional)

Existing packages can be updated under Packages > Edit a Package. Changes apply to every account currently assigned to that package, so review impact before saving.
