Register branded nameservers (glue records)
Private nameservers—ns1.yourbrand.com and ns2.yourbrand.com—let reseller customers see your domain on DNS instead of PosaHosting hostnames. You need a reseller plan and a domain to point at your server IP.
1. Register glue at the registrar
At PosaHosting (same flow at most registrars):
Sign in → Domains → My Domains → select the domain.
Under Manage, open Private Nameservers.
In Register a Nameserver Name, enter
ns1(or your prefix) and the server IP from your welcome email. Save, then repeat forns2on the second IP or the same IP if you only have one.
2. Publish A records for ns1 and ns2
Glue registration alone is not enough—the hostnames must resolve. Add A records where the domain's DNS is hosted.
cPanel
Sign in to cPanel (
yourdomain.com:2083).Domains → Zone Editor → A Record.
Name
ns1, value = server IP. Add another forns2.
DirectAdmin
Sign in to DirectAdmin (
yourdomain.com:2222).Account Manager → DNS Management → Add Record.
Type A, name
ns1, value = server IP. Repeat forns2.
Allow a few hours for DNS propagation before assigning the new nameservers to client domains.
